Principle II: Everything Is Energy
The energy of food extends beyond its kilocalories.
The yin and yang of food: there is a spectrum, there are extremes, there can exist an imbalance.
There is an energetic push that is met with an energetic pull. Any imbalance will contribute to a condition of excess: excess weight, excess worry, excess rumination. This excess can lead to physical and mental heaviness.
As a component of Blithe Health, Level I of Esculent Medicine aims to strengthen your resolve toward decreasing conditions of excess, starting with a breakdown and understanding of the yin and yang energy of food. You will discover the interplay between expansion and contraction as our (external) food choices meet our (internal) daily stressors and challenges. Through this coursework, you will also learn the energetic impact that results from habitual self-soothing with food. This approach will resonate with individuals who struggle with emotional, stress-related, or binge-eating.
